Historically, cowrie shells have been used as money & represents great wealth in the African Diaspora. In some cultures, cowrie shells are also used as divination tools. Till this day, cowrie shells are used to adorn, representing beauty all over the world.

This necklace has been taken before the goddess Osun to be cleansed in sacred herbs, prayed over, and charged by offerings to Osun & river water from the Sacred Osun Grove in Osogbo, Nigeria by Iya Omiseeke.
